We’ve compiled a list of the slot games with the bonus buy-in feature and will forever be updating it to ensure we have all the information you need for you to play.
What is a buy-in bonus slot?
It’s quite simply a slot that allows you to buy directly into the bonus rounds.
The ability to buy into a bonus round is becoming increasingly prevalent among new slots driven by player demand.
Apart from the Blitz feature (which is exclusive to Netent and to Casino Heroes and isn’t available for the UK), it’s the best way to play games which have a compelling bonus but less than exciting base gameplay.
Some games, of course, have really fun base games and you may not want to skip them. It’s not mandatory to buy-in.
Buy-ins work in a simple way that you get to buy into the bonus round rather than waiting through hundreds of spins for the bonus round to hit. You would buy in for an amount which is usually X times your stake. Generally, for a higher volatility paying game (the type that you are most likely to want to skip through base games in) you’re looking at upwards of 120x stake.
This will then guarantee that you hit the bonus round instantly in the next spin.
Why use a Bonus Buy-in?
The key reason is, of course, that ability to skip a boring base game or the hundreds if not thousand spins you can put into a game before you hit the bonus round.
It’s a better buzz, a much better buzz.
Bonus Buy-in downsides.
And then there are the downsides of course.
Not every game runs in the same manner. Some games that you buy into you may not even get to see the bonus round due to the nature of the game. For example like Vikings Unleashed.

This all seems so simple, right? Mechanically yes, money wise not always.
Just because you have bought into the bonus round doesn’t mean you are going to get back the money you put into it. Sometimes you can get a great round and win loads, other times it can be a real stinker and you come away with little to nothing. Just like a normal bonus round. Remember this is the nature of gambling, so be aware of this. Gamble responsibly now everyone!
Suffice to say it’s likely that the more aggressive gaming authorities will begin to monitor and block the less player-friendly bonus buys.
