Devil’s Number Slot Review

The Devil’s Number is a grower, not a show’er. Some reviewers have been a little harsh on the game – I can only think that they haven’t played it – they certainly haven’t played it for long enough to get a real feel for it. Shame. First glance, first play, you may well think, meh. Stop!

Play it some more, wait for the feature, wait for it again. If you came across Dead or Alive, Knight’s Life, Jack and the Beanstalk, Book of Ra and you gave them a couple of hundred spins and left without seeing a bonus you’d probably think, well, meh. You’d be wrong with those and you’d be wrong with this.

The game has some beautiful mechanics and hidden depths. You’re losing out if you don’t find them.

The Devil’s Number is of course 666. You’d be forgiven for being a tad confused at the 999 trigger scatters. It’s upside down you see, you remember from the playground scare stories, everything is upside down and back to front when it comes to The Devil.

Oooh, scary.

The game play

Red Tiger’s Devils Number is a 5 reel 30 pay line game.
The feature is triggered by 3 number 9 symbols which gets you into the bonus round. These turn upside down to reveal the Devil’s Number. Wouldn’t be very Devilish now would it if that didn’t happen!

Devils Number - Bonus Round

Once in, that’s where the fun starts.
As you progress through the free spins, the Mark of the Beast can burn and upgrade symbols to pay more in the current spin.

Additionally, where the win line is 10, J, Q, K or A symbols, The Beast can also burn and remove them after they pay to trigger cascading tiles. Which in turn can give you higher win payouts.

And to top it off, if you get a re-trigger in the bonus round you get an extra 6 bonus spins.

Summary of Devil’s Number

Graphically it’s nicely polished, the audio is very complimentary, and the overall mechanic and timing are excellent.
Hold out and get that bonus round. It’s really worth it, just to experience the extra features.
