Megaways works like a cascading reel game (Gonzo’s Quest for example). Winning symbols will disappear (or explode in this case) and be replaced. This continues as long as there is a winning combination on screen.

The symbols are different sizes on the reels meaning the max paylines will expand and contract in proportion to how many symbols are showing on screen.

Free spins are triggered by by landing 4 or more Gold bags.

12 spins for 4 bags with each additional bag awarding another 5 on top.

During free spins every win will add 1x to the win  multiplier.

Barrels of TNT will land on various reels and will each explode turning into a single symbol – high or low.

The free spins can be retriggered but during the free spins round the Gold bags can only appear in the  top 4 symbol bar.

3 will add +5 spins.

4 will add +10 spins.

Any kind of retrigger on this and you’ll be very unlucky not to hit a big win. Very unlucky.

Conclusion – Diamond Mine Megaways

I think this  is the most accessible Megaways game (I’m only counting the latter ones with the +4 top symbol bar).

While the music can get annoying it’s not to Bonanza levels.

We play this a lot at SlotMad and our play time hasn’t decreased too much since release – that’s the mark of a winning slot.
