Roll up, roll up, the creepy circus is back in town with Dr Fortuno!

Now I’m not the biggest fan of the circus. Just sort of creeps me out a little to be completely honest with you all! So when I heard Yggdrasil was bringing out a circus-themed slot, I was apprehensive, to say the least. Having had a play, I’m still not the biggest circus fan but the game is interesting, and the visuals are, as you would expect from a Yggdrasil game, frickin’ great.

More magic, voodoo, misfits, and potion bottles than the typical circus stuff you would expect.

Base game

A nice 5 reel, 20 pay line, with a base game which is fun to watch and entertaining enough, and a not too creep soundtrack to boot that fits the theme nicely. Don’t get me wrong it does sound a little creepy and I did feel at some point, some bearded lady was going to jump out at me… Luckily she didn’t and instead I got one of the features that’s within the base game.

When you land a Dr Fortuno Nudging Wild you win a spin on his wheel.

• Up to 5x multiplier
• Between 20- 100 coins
• A chance at the Fortuno Jackpot

Bonus Round

Land a minimum of 3 bonus symbols and you get into the bonus round. Not only do you get 10 Free Spins, but you also get a special feature depending on how many bonus symbols you land.

3 bonus symbols = 1 feature
4 bonus symbols = 2 feature
5 bonus symbols = 3 feature

These can be anything from:

• All low paying symbols are removed from the reels
• 2x multiplier for the whole free spin session
• More Dr Fortuno Wilds on the reels
• 5 or 10 extra free spins
• High paying symbols turned in to Wilds
• Pay-lines pay from both ways

Summary of Dr. Fortuno Slot

Yggdrasil really came out top with this game. There wasn’t an overindulgence of circusness, with a more magic and voodoo sense than what you would normally associate. Which for me was great. The different Freaks’ symbols break up the game nicely and so do the potions and different triggers.
