The original Esquelito Esplosivo burst onto our screens back in 2014 would you believe?

It was a real breath of fresh air back in the day and Esquelito Esplosivo 2 doesn’t disappoint if you’re a screaming headed skeleton Mariachi band fan like we are.

The action takes place on five reels, with 99 ways to win.

The game retains the tumbling reels (avalanche) mechanic with wins of 3 symbols or more exploding and being replaced with new symbols – this continues as long as you have subsequent spin wins and you’ll receive a multiplier win boost every time.

Explosivo Wilds.

Explosivo Wild symbols are great fun. They are of course Wild symbols but they can explode (yay more explosions) and they can create up to 8 additional wilds on the reels.

Mucho Multiplier feature.

This is the win multiplier and it’s active in the base games and the free spins and will award a multiplier on the win total for each successive win spins up to a whopping 32x!

It’s a cracking little boost feature and it means you can get nice bankroll boosts without needing to be in the free spins.

Speaking of which…

Free spins feature.

This is triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols in view awarding 10, 12 or 14 free spins respectively.

During the feature, extra free spins can be won by landing 2, 3, 4, 5 or more Scatter symbols. The player then receives 3, 7, 10 or 12 free spins respectively. If you’re lucky enough to land more than 5 Scatters symbols you’ll receive an extra 2 sins for each scatter above 5.

In the free spins Explosivo Wilds are collectable. Collect 3 and the lowest multiplier is removed and you receive one extra free spin. You’ll also see a brand new shiny 64x multiplier added. Nice.

It’s a corker! That said we loved the first one too.

It’s bright, the sounds and animations gel perfectly together. It’s an uplifting fun slot experience and that’s something we seem to have forgotten recently. Thunderkick are on a roll let’s hope it continues, if it does they could give Play n Go a run for their money!
