Frankie the Fisherman is back in Fishin Frenzy Megaways.

Don’t worry, the fancy Megaways update hasn’t changed him. He’s still the same old Frankie.

Turns up when he wants, doesn’t turn up when there’s a screen half full of fish and sometimes even pops in with his twin brother Freddie, as long as there aren’t too manny big fish around of course.

He didn’t even get  a new hat.

Base Game

The Megaways was a great choice for this game.

In the original the aim was just to get to the bonus rounds as quickly as possible because not a lot happened otherwise,.

This time you won’t mind spending time in the base game because it’s just more exciting.

If you do get bored well you can always use the buy-in feature.

I use it all the time but in a clear example of ‘do as I say, not as I do’ I’d recommend avoiding buy-ins as much as possible.

Unlike Blitz which is awesome but still restricted to Netent games and Casino Heroes outside the UK straight buy-ins do take some of the value away for me.

Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways Buy-in will cost you 100x your bet.

That’s a tall ask but it’s very  achievable. The trick to buying in is to

A: Be prepared to lose your bank roll completely.

B: Get out when you hit a big one that covers your other buy-ins and gives you profit.

I’ve come our pretty well on this overall but that doesn’t mean I haven’t had some absolute stinkers of course.

Symbols and Paylines

Top paying symbol is the Stork in standard mode. As Megaways go that’s a whopper.

The Fish can pay way more but to do so they need to match across in the bonus game or appear alongside a Fisherman Frankie.

The fishing boats are the scatter as before.

3  = 10 free games

4 = 15 free games

5 -= 25 free games

6 = Kerching! 50 free games.

I say Kerching… on 50 free spins I have actually landed that in the past and managed to avoid almost any contact with Frankie and Freddie. Correction they booth popped up a couple of times but they missed all the fish.

Special Symbols

Megaways

Megaways differ from standard slots  in that each reel can contain a different number of symbols on each spin.

That creates more chances for matching symbols and means that the number of potential ways to win is changing on each spin. That’s how they can fit more than 110,000 ways to win within a standard sized reel set.

The Feature in Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways

Land the feature and the excitement starts.

Each fish has a value attached to it.

If the fish are caught by Frankie (Frankie has to appear on the screen at the same time as there are fish to catch) you’ll win the cumulative amount on the fish.

If Frankie’s brother Freddie pops up at the same time the amount is doubled.

This is the real hook (pardon the pun).

It can be incredibly tilting (and fun) screaming out for a Frankie when there’s a big haul of fish waiting to be caught.

Conclusion of Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways

It’s a great update.

They’ve retained the charm of Fishin Frenzy but added a lot to the excitement.

This isn’t a game for the feint-hearted  though so  match your bets to your bankroll accordingly.
