In 2019, there has been a flurry of MegaWays slots released from different providers, all licensing the concept from Big Time Gaming. This is one of two slots from the Relax Gaming platform with this reel setup. The other one is Temple Tumble MegaWays, a very volatile slot which has taken many deposits from us on the stream. Lets dive into Machina and see if it lives up to Temple Tumble.
Pay table and Symbols
First off, lets get some of the basics down. The slot has an RTP of between 96.59 and 97.42%. There are five high paying symbols, with the highest paying being the Machina. The Machina can also trigger the Jackpot win, more on that below. There are four more high paying symbols, all paying slightly less than the Machina, but still pays on 2,3,4,5 and 6 symbols in a row. Outside of the high paying symbols, we have the standard Royals, 9 through A. Then there is the Wild Symbol which substitutes for all symbols except Bonus and Bonus Accumulation symbols.
There are also three Jackpots to be won in Machina MegaWays, the Platinum, the Gold and the Silver Jackpot. These are fixed jackpots, which increases with your bet. The Platinum Jackpot starts at 1000 times your bet, whilst the Gold one is 50 times your bet. The silver Jackpot pays 20 times your bet. You win the jackpot when you hit 10, 12 or 16 Machina symbols. If you make it all the way in the feature game to only having the Machina as a high paying symbol, then the jackpots start paying out on every spin. We have yet to win the Platinum Jackpot, but Gold and Silver has happened many times during free spins.
The Base Game of Machina MegaWays
In the Machina MegaWays slot, the base game is different from other MegaWays slots. First off, there is no top or bottom reel with four extra symbols, like in Diamond Mine, Bonanza and Extra Chilli for example. The maximum amount of ways that can happen is 46 656. Now you will not be able to get a full screen of any symbol, but as you can understand you can still stand to win a lot with close to 46k ways to win.
Buy Feature Drop
This game offers the option to buy the Feature directly, as is common in many other MegaWays game as well. There are four different offers in the Hyper Bonus Feature Buy screen. You can choose to buy 10, 12, 15 or 18 free spins, each at a higher price. The more free spins you start with, the higher the chance of going all the way in the Feature and cashing in on that Platinum Jackpot after hitting 16 or more Machinas!
Features of Machina MegaWays
The Free Spins feature activates when you hit Three Bonus symbols in any position on the reels. If you get more than three Bonus symbols, you can win more free spins. Manage to get six of them, and you hit the mother load of 18 starting free spins.
The Free Spins of Machina Megaways starts out with all High Paying Symbols present on the reels. You goal is to collect Bonus Accumulation Symbols (the circuit boards) each spin. When you have collected the first four, you receive 2 extra free spins, and one of the High paying symbols is replaced with the Machina. The first two levels you need to collect four circuit boards and on the last three levels the requirement is five Bonus Accumulation symbols. This continues until you have finished all of your free spins. If you get lucky and clear out all of the high paying symbols except the Machina, that’s when the money starts raining.
Summary
Machina MegaWays is a very good MegaWays slot. We do miss the top or bottom reel which brings that extra bit of excitement.
