Regular Symbols

In Pixies of the Forest II, there are eight different symbols. First off, the by far highest paying symbol is the Pixies of the Forest symbol, paying out 1000 coins for five of a kind. This symbol is followed by the three pixies. These are, in descending order, the Purple, the Brunette and the Blonde. In the low paying regions, we find our trusted Royals. Special Symbols in Pixies of the Forest II

There are three special symbols in Pixies of the Forest II. There’s the Bonus symbol, which appears anywhere on reels one, two and three, or from the Base Game’s “Feature Wilds spins’ Mystery Bonus Trigger”. Three Bonus symbols in a row and you’re in.

Tumbling Reels

What are Tumbling Reels you say? Well this is just another way to describe Cascading Reels or Avalanche reels. Basically, we are talking about Winning combinations disappearing and new symbols replacing the destroyed ones from above. This cycle continues as long as there are winning combinations to pay. Pixies of the Forest 2 is a low volatility slot with a high hit rate. You can expect to get a lot of play time with this online slot.

Spirit Meter and the Feature Wilds in Pixies of the Forest II

The Spirit Meter is there to get your Spirit up, and also get you into the Feature Wilds spins feature. It is simple, every tumbling win, your Spirit Meter increases. Fill the meter with three or more spirits and the Feature Wilds spins activates. When this happens, one of the three Feature Wilds is chosen for the next spin. One Feature Wild spin is awarded for the first three spirits, and if you had more than three you will get one extra for each additional. Up to a maximum of three Feature Wilds Spins.

Wild Reels feature will see one or two reels on the second, third or fourther reels randomly turned wild for the duration of the spin. The wilds on the chosen reels will not disappear when involved in a win. As you can imagine, this can lead to a lot of tumbling.

In Random Wilds, three wilds are randomly placed on the second, third and/or fourth reel. After the reels have tumbled and there are no more wins, a new set of wilds may be randomly placed. This can happen up to two more times. Unlike the Wild Reels, these wilds will disappear when involved in a win.

During Countdown Sticky Wilds, the wilds are, as you may guess, sticky. The wilds will stay stick for three tumbles after which they will disappear. If they are involved in a win, they will stick around, unless it is the last tumble.

Mystery Jackpot and Mystery Bonus Trigger

At the start of any base game Feature Wilds Spin, the wilds can turn into bonus symbols and trigger the Pixie Queen’s Free Spin Bonus. The game continues as normal, with the bonus symbols turning back to wilds when returning from the bonus. In the same way, the wilds can turn into Jackpot symbols and trigger the Pixie Progressive Picker. These two can actually occur on the same Feature Wilds Spin. Lucky you if that happens to you.

Base Game

The base game in Pixies of the Forest II is about collecting Tumbling Wins to get the Spirit Meter unlocked, or just simply getting into the free spins Bonus right away. The game has a lot of things going on, with Wild features, free spins and jackpots. All ingeniously built in to the game to get you enthralled.

The Free Spins Feature in Pixies of the Forest II

Three bonus symbols on reel one, two and three and you’re in the free spins feature. The feature is called the Pixie Queen’s Free Spin Bonus. This can also be triggered through the Mystery Bonus Trigger when in a Feature Wilds spin. During the Pixie Queen’s free spins, there is a higher probability of something happen.

If a spin doesn’t trigger a feature wilds spin for example, there is a chance the Pixie Queen may award a Pixie Queen’s Gift. This gift will trigger enough tumbles to award the Feature wilds spin with three different ways. First, there is the Spirit Boost, where the Pixie Queen will award 2 spirits in addition to the ones already earned. Three or more kicks off the Feature Wilds spins.

Secondly, there is the Symbol Elimination. In this feature,. the Pixie Queen removes each visible instance of 1 to 4 symbol types, triggering a new tumble and increasing the spirit meter by one. The last way is the Pixie Queen just awarding an Extra spin.

Conclusion of Pixies of the Forest II

Pixies… In the Forest… Two. Who would have guess that these Pixies were so much fun that IGT would make a sequel? Well, not us, but we are sure glad they did. The feature can turn into a “neverending story” as you can see in the Big Win video clip below. The game kept spinning for close to 10 minutes, and we just kept winning.

We rate this game a solid 3.7 out of 5.0. It is a good, well-made game with a lot of features. The sound is relaxing, thus heightening the enjoyment of the slot.
