Primal Megaways – Blueprint Gaming – slot review and play for free

Blueprint Gaming’s Primal megaways is a real divider of opinion. Much more so than the rest of them which are generally universally loved (by megaways devotees) or almost universally disliked (Battleships Megaways or Valletta for example).

Symbols and Paylines

Doesn’t look great at first glance, remember you have to bear in mind that this is Megaways so you’re going to land more than one instance of each symbol, sometimes significantly more.

Also, as it’s a Megaways the bulk of the wins are going to come in the bonus round with its additional multiplier and Megaways opportunities.

Feature additions to look out for:

The flaming balls. These are your friend, sometimes.

When the flaming ball symbols land they will transform into other symbols (both high or low paying).

If you’re lucky, and you’ll need to be pretty lucky they’ll turn into high paying symbols that match up on the reels and bring you a decent win.

There’s also the pawprint wild – which unsurprisingly acts as a wild

The Feature in Primal Megaways

It’s a really enjoyable feature.

Different  from most Megaways games in that rather than receive a multiplier for every win you earn multipliers on individual wins as the wilds become multipliers.

This has the benefit of not hitting home too much when you’re having a bad run. How many times have you been midway through Bonanza and still been on 2x?

It’s a proper downer isn’t it?

This setup also means that a single win can more easily turn into a proper big win regardless of how your other spins have done or where you are in the free spins cycle.

The  feature teases less often than many Megaways games. It also triggers with 3 scatters, many of the  others require 4 which can be completely tilting!

Conclusion

It’s one of my favourite Megaways games, it’s not  one of most people’s favourites though.
