I also love the latest release in your series of games.
We can neatly sum it up as..

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness is A lot like Netent’s Lost Relics – only more exciting.

Rich is back for another adventure in the latest Play’n GO title, Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness.

This time he’s messing with the cult of Cthulhu.
Are you insane? Well yes I suppose he is. He will be if he finds that book!

It could be that:
1: He even hasn’t read much H.P Lovecraft and isn’t aware of the power of Cthulhu.
2: He’s the bravest son of a bitch ever.
3: He’s an imaginary character that only exists within an online slot game and I should stop pretending he’s real…

I’m going to go for 2.

Everybody has read H.P Lovecraft (if you haven’t then go, go now and read some).

If I went for number 3 this review would have to stop here.

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness online slot game features

So, let us join our intrepid hero (is the word intrepid ever used without the word Hero next to it?) as he bravely (and armed with a complete lack of ignorance about Cthulhu) heads into some stupidly dangerous situations to recover an artifact that he won’t even be able to flog on the second hand antique market cos it’s technically stolen.

It’s a grid slot on a 5×5 cascading setup.

4 matching symbols together trigger a win and a cascade.

There are multiple Wilds in the game

Firstly you have the Special Wild, the Book of Madness itself,

The Necronomicon Wild.

This replaces all High and Low symbols to create winning clusters.

The Rich Wilde Wild.

This replaces alll HP symbols and gives a 2x multiplier.

The Mega Wild.

The third symbol is The Mega Wild which appears as part of the Other World bonus… in the bonus round.

Every time you get a winning cluster on the game it will add power to the Portal’s charge (you’re familiar with this from other Play n Go games of course).

Fill enough symbols to charge the portal and you’ll trigger different features.

If seven symbols charge the portal, two Special Wilds will replace two symbols at random on the grid.

If 14 symbols charge the portal, two Special Wilds will replace two random symbols and, if they are part of a winning cluster, then get thee to the Abyss!

Abyss will remove all symbols in the Special Wild’s row or column, and those symbols will be used to charge the Portal.

If 27 symbols charge the portal, two Special Wilds will replace two random symbols on the grid and, if they create a win, you will activate the Portal effect Void.

Void will randomly select a symbol symbol and remove all of them from the grid, using them to charge the Portal.

Rich Wilde Tome of madness: Other World

Fill the meter (42 required) and you enter the bonus round.

An additinoal bonus level is reached if you hit 54 rather than 42 on the counter.

For every three symbols collected above the 42 that trigger Other World bonus round you’ll receive an additional portal feature.

After each set of spins in the round, a Portal effect will occur on the reels.

Once you’ve gotten all the wins you can on a cascade, the next Portal effect will be triggered. This will continue until you’ve activated all of the Portal effects.

Summary

A really nice game. If you like Lost Relics then you’re going to love this one.
