I’m not generally a fan of 100 line slots.

To be fair I’m not usually a big fan of anything with more than 10 lines. Which is why I tend to find myself playing a lot of Merkur games.

Spirits of the East is an exception. Well not entirely, it is a Merkur slot. It’s exceptional in that it draws me back over and over despite having 1000% more lines than I prefer.

The game looks great (not just for a Merkur, it’s actually really nicely drawn).

It has a real atmosphere to it, the kind of slot you can just get drawn into.

Max win is a very worthwhile 100,000 coins.

Spirits of the East slot bonus

The bonus round is triggered by matching up the stacked BO NU S symbols on the middle reels.

One match up will give you 5 spins but they can stack up for 5 per line.

Certain symbols become Bonus Symbols, depending on the triggering Bonus field.

Every single Bonus Symbol on the screen pays a prize:

• Top line: LADY, GUY pay 2 x total bet for every one on screen.
  Middle line: KIRIN, FU DOG pay 1 x total bet for every one on screen.
  Bottom line: COINS, FISHES pay 1 x total bet for every one on screen.

• Each combination “B”+”ON”+”US” on any horizontal line on the centre 9 reel
  positions during the feature award 5 additional free games.

It’s not all about the bonus game though.

There are plenty of Wilds (The Spirit of the east symbol) and plenty of stacked symbols for them to connect with.
