Star Quest – Big Time Gaming – slot review and play for free

Star Quest is one of Big Time Gaming’s early Megaways slots.

The game features up to 117649 ways to win.

What it lacks is the  later megaways addition of the additional symbol bar  at the top.

That makes it a much less enjoyable experience than most of course.

We’re reviewing this one retrospectively so that’s going to have an impact. In a way it’s unfair so I will try to be even-handed.

The game pays left to right.

It’s a standard Megaways set up.

If you’re not familiar with Megaways yet you’re in for a bit of a learning curve, and a bit of a treat.

Essentially they do away with set paylines by stacking different sized symbols and reels.

That’s how you can reach the massive payline combinations they can offer.

Graphics are fun, the sound is less  in-your-face than the  majority of Big Time Gamins releases too – which can be very welcome after you’ve been chasing a bonus for half an hour or so.

Mechanics are decent, they just have a lot to live up to when you consider where the games are now.

Symbols and Paylines

As always remember that this is a Megaways slot – with more than 100,000 ways to win so the paytable shouldn’t be viewed as you would a normal slot.

Full Reel Wilds

This is the standout feature.

You can potentially land 4 of these across reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and turn the whole lot wild.

Cashback on aisle me!

Just as in Sakura Fortune a wild reel triggers a respin allowing you to collect more of them.

Each subsequent wild symbol trigger another spin.

Summary – Star Quest Megaways.

It’s  a nice game.

It’s a tough one, there’s a heck of a lot volatility here.

The lack of a separate exciting  bonus game let’s it down and explains why this is one of the more forgotten BTG Megaways.

Still, well worth a play if only to see the  evolution we’ve been through with these games.
